This class is designed to nurture new mums and provide a safe environment for them to heal and repair their bodies and to talk about their experiences of birth as well as being a new mum. It provides them with a space to safely allow them to reconnect with their bodies.
Postnatal yoga uses movement, balance and relaxation to allow your body to recover from pregnancy and birth. It helps to heal the body and mind, and repair all the tissues almost back to pre-pregnancy states.
Some of the benefits of post natal yoga is to support the new mummy to strengthen pelvic floor muscles, condition abs and core area, ease muscle and joint aches and pains caused caring for the little one, regain spinal integrity as well as techniques to manage fatigue. It has also been known to help with postpartum depression.
