Vinyasa Yoga (aka Vinyasa Flow / Power Yoga), refers to a practice that synchronises movement and breath and derives its roots from Sri K. Patthabhi Jois’ Ashtanga yoga method. It is a relatively modern style of yoga that can be both dynamic and physically challenging. This class contains a series of postures that flow naturally from one to the next. Focus is placed on movement, alignment, flexibility, strength and integration with breath. Poses are held for shorter duration than in a Hatha Yoga or Hatha Flow class.
