January Class – Germaine Teng
Germaine’s Yoga journey began in 2017 after curiosity struck and she stepped into her 1st yoga class.
She tried several other fitness activities to no avail as none piqued her interest, and was surprised to feel an immediate connection with Yoga.
Hooked since then, Germaine started regular practice. Her journey began solely as physical practice but over time, snippets of stories related to the Yoga tradition and philosophy that her teachers weaved into classes changed her perspective and sparked a desire in her to learn more.
In June 2018, she sought respite from the corporate world, and took on the Yoga Teacher Training to deepen her understanding on Yoga holistically. This allowed her to look inward, be more accepting of things as they are, and to acknowledge and manage anxieties, fears and expectations on and beyond the mat.
While Germaine is fresh from her training, she hopes to inspire others to think of Yoga not just as a physically demanding practice, but also a quiet and introspective one. Hence, her practice is a mix of Yin & Yang. She believes that Yoga is not just about attending classes, but a lifestyle.
Keen in trying her class? Join her in a Yin/Yang class on 25 January 7-8pm!
