For the first time ever, KPJAYI-Certified Ashtanga teacher, Tarik Thami, will be here in Singapore to share his knowledge of the Ashtanga practice. And Art of Yoga is extremely honoured to host him at our studio.

Who Is This For?
Individuals with an existing Ashtanga practice and who are keen to deepen their knowledge of this method.
5-8 August (Monday – Thursday)
- Slot 1 – 6:30 – 8:00am ( doors open at 6:15am)
- Slot 2 – 8:00 – 9:30am
Students will choose one of the time slots and follow through the same time slot for 4 days.
9 August (Friday)
- Full Led Primary Series*Not suitable for first time practitioners: 7:30 – 9:00am
- Post Led Class Conference: 9:00 – 9:30am
- 2 hours workshop: 1:00-3:00 pm
Tristhana and Vinyasa Workshop – 9 Aug (Fri) 1-3pm
This workshop is designed to teach you the fundamental of Ashtanga Yoga: Tristhana and Vinyasa. This workshop will predominantly focus on Tristhana, the 3 points of attention in Ashtanga Yoga. Correct understanding of these valuable concepts will create a more stable, introspective and graceful yoga practice.
Concept of Tristhana: Correct breathing method, posture and looking place and various ways of easily integrating these principles into our practice.
Who is this for?
This workshop is open to all levels including those who wish to maintain and reinforce the fundamentals for your personal Ashtanga practice.
- Full 5-day program: $300 (Maximum 20 students)
- 5-day program without workshop: $250 (Maximum 10 students)
- Workshop only: $100
- Drop-in Mysore or Led class: $55
Priority are given to students who are booking the Full 5-day program and 5-day program without workshop.

About Tarik Thami
Tarik began exploring different forms of yoga in the early 1990’s. In 1994 he was introduced to the Ashtanga yoga system. It was precisely what he had been looking for and from that point on he has been dedicated to the system and to deepening his practice. Tarik has practiced Ashtanga yoga for 18 years and over the last 13 years he has studied with his primary teachers Sri K.P. Jois and his grandson Sharath Ranganswamy. He visits Mysore, Indian annually to continue his studies and practice and was blessed teach by Pattabhi Jois in 2005 and certified in 2012.
Tarik currently teaches all over the world but his heart and home is at his daily morning Mysore class in Shibuya, Tokyo. Tarik is committed to teaching the traditional Ashtanga practice as taught by Pattabhi jois and providing students with an ideal environment for them to discover the beauty and power of their own practice and their own yoga.

Terms and Conditions
Priority is given to students who opt for Full 5-day program or 5-day program without workshop.
Students who opt for Drop-in Mysore or led class and workshop, will be notified 5 days before starting date if their registration are successful.
Only students with valid booking can attend. As slots are limited, walk-ins are not allowed.
Cancellations made more than 7 days from the start date, will receive a refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
Refund method would be the same during point of purchase.
Cancellation made less than 7 days from the start date, will receive no refunds.
Alternatively, students are allowed to find their own replacement instead of forfeiting the package. Please inform us of the change of name.
Mats are provided but please bring your own towel and water bottles.
Bottled waters and drinks are sold in the studio. We have a recycle bin found at the main entrance, under the fire hose for plastic bottles.
We have two showers and toilets available for use. Towels are not provided, please bring your own.
Students are expected to clean up after practice and help to maintain the cleanliness of the studio for the comfort of other students.
