Joy Tan is a self-proclaimed couch potato that was never really physically active until her late teens. Her first yoga class traces back eight years ago in a hot room, where she landed herself in, in a bid to lose weight. Despite being inflexible and shaky throughout the entire session, she could not forget that sense of euphoria and achievement that swelled after the class. Joy kept to a consistent home practice and years later in 2013, took her 200-hr yoga teacher training certificate and has been teaching ever since.
Yoga is a never ending journey, and Joy Tan is still constantly learning from renowned yoga teachers all over the world to gain more insights on alignment, techniques and yoga philosophy that she could use to enrich her life and yours. Now still trying to shake off that potato lifestyle, Joy also enjoys a good sweat session of Zumba, running or kickboxing!
This class contains a series of postures that flow naturally from one to the next. Focus is placed on movement, alignment, flexibility, strength and integration with breath. Poses are held for shorter duration than in a Hatha Yoga or Hatha Flow class.
Flow II is more challenging version of Vinyasa Flow where students get to explore different transitions, stronger poses and deeper stretches.
